CHRIS STAUP

Senior Instructor

 

Chris is currently a Patrol Corporal for a municipal law enforcement agency. He has over 15 years law enforcement experience and has worked several special assignments including:

 

• Gang Task Force Investigator

• Field Training Officer

• Range Master / Firearms Instructor

• First Aid/CPR/AED & Tactical Medicine Instructor

• Department Armorer

 

Chris has been involved in several critical incidents throughout his career and brings his experience and tactical awareness to the classroom. He has vast knowledge of all aspects of firearms, specifically the AR rifle platform, precision rifle and defensive handguns. Chris has numerous training and teaching based California P.O.S.T. certifications and is nearing completion of a Master's Degree. 

Chris is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He is an accomplished archer and extreme long-range rifle hunter. He is a past president of the Redding Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and has been a committee member for over a decade. Chris is also a California Hunter Safety Instructor and enjoys passing on his hunting knowledge and experience.

Chris is an NRA life member and is passionate about maintaining the right of individuals to keep and bear arms.
