Service Description

Course graduates will receive the training required to renew a California Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) in Siskiyou, Shasta, Trinity, or Butte County. This is an 8-hour course. This course covers: • Recent California and Federal laws concerning CCW • Gun safety review • The responsibilities of a CCW permit holder • Strategies for de-escalation and avoiding threats • What happens if you draw and/or fire your weapon • Personal impacts of firing your weapon • Training beyond this course California requires students to qualify with each firearm they would like listed on their permit. The standardized qualification course requires 20 rounds. We encourage students to bring a minimum of 100 rounds of factory condition ammunition to the class for each firearm they are qualifying with. For practical purposes, we ask that permit holders bring the holster or purse in which they carry for training on the range.
